Policies

CANCELLATIONS

1. Absences or cancellations are permitted with a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled class. Make-up classes are not currently available for sessions with senior teacher Audrey. Students may miss up to five sessions per year due to illness, emergencies, or holidays. For these five instances (inclusive), the tuition will be deferred for future use. However, any absences beyond this limit will be non-refundable.

2. Students who cancel their regular weekly time slot too often or miss three lessons in a row will lose their time slot and need to switch to a week-to-week scheduling system.

TUITION

1. Tuition must be paid during the last week of each month to cover the following month's classes. For example, tuition for March must be paid in the last week of February.
2. Tuition is calculated based on the actual number of scheduled classes for the upcoming month.

LATENESS

1. As back to back piano lessons are offered, if a student is late, it will be up to the instructor’s discretion as to whether or not they extend the lesson.

INSTRUCTORS

1. Music textbooks and scores are not included in the lessons. Please buy the materials needed to be based on the suggestion.

2. Any complaints or conflicts should be handled between the instructor and student directly.

3. Please make sure to practice for at least 30 minutes per day.
4. An acoustic piano is recommended for daily practice. Using an electric piano for elementary learning is acceptable, but an acoustic piano (an upright piano or a baby grand piano) is strongly recommended as it is more beneficial for students.
